Hi everyone, I hope you had a great week and your weekend was fun and amazing!
Last week I started to workout again (let’s see if I can keep it going this time) but I’m starting out slow and just doing cardio for now. I’m hoping in a few weeks I can start implementing some weight training as well. It’s been 2 months since I quit smoking (each day gets a bit easier) and about a month since I’ve been on my new anti-depressants to balance my hormones out. Besides the weight gain (which is no big deal, I can easily get rid of that), I’m feeling great physically and mentally! I do have to admit, there are some days where I do crave a cigarette but then I go by someone who is smoking and the smell of it turns me off. No offense to them but I’m finally realizing what I smelled like when I would smoke. I totally now get what people meant when they said it stunk… then again, I do get how hard it is to break that habit and why it’s so easy to stay smoking.
Other than that, I was working on my schedule for this month and picked up a nice 3 day trip, which I’m actually still on. Last night I had a long Burbank overnight and got to see my friend Scotty Schwartz (the actor from A Christmas Story). We went out for dinner and caught up on some well needed conversation. Today I have a longer day at work and end up in Sacramento for a short overnight. Which technically means I’ll be slam clicking once I get to the hotel. Btw, slam clicking is a term flight attendants use when we’re too tired to be sociable and decide to go right to bed (laughing). This trip had been fun, I’ve been working with a good crew and meeting some great passengers but I’m ready to be done and be back home.
I’m also still working on my next blog, “Health Issues and Overcoming Them.” It’s a bit lengthy and may take an extra few days to finish but bare with me and I’ll get it out as soon as possible. After this trip I’m home for a day and then my boyfriend and I are heading out to Chicago to visit my dog and family. Then we are driving to Iowa to visit and attend his grandsons first birthday party. After that we drive back to Vegas but not before spending the night in Denver to see my son and nephew. So I have a busy rest of the month ahead of me when I get back but I’ll at least get 5-6 days off before heading out on a 6 day trip at the end of the month.
I must say, it’s actually nice to finally get back to my crazy routine of being busy and having something to write about (laughing)! Until next week, I hope everyone enjoys the rest of their weekend! And I hope you have a wonderful week ahead of you!
Hugz & Kisses,
