Hope everyone had a productive week and are having a relaxing weekend! Or should I retract “relaxing” since the Thanksgiving holiday is upon us and I’m sure a lot of you are prepping for that amazing dinner. Not to mention some of you getting ready for black Friday or should I say, crazy Friday! As for me, I’ll be doing my black Friday shopping online. On the flip side, I’m looking forward to my favorite holiday! I love Thanksgiving, obviously because of the traditional Turkey, mashed potatoes, stuffing and the jelly cranberry roll! But most of all, I love when I get to make my Cheesecake Pumpkin Tarts, Deviled Eggs and Apple Crisp (yummy)! Okay, enough about food (sigh)….
Last Monday I went out to Denver to visit my son for his birthday. I was only there till Wednesday but we stayed at a hotel in a nice little suite. We did go out to eat a few times and he ended up taking me to this park which was really cool. It was a Jewish Memorial Park that was in remembrance of the Holocaust. My boyfriend and I got him a new headset for his birthday and from what my boyfriend says, it’s suppose to be the bomb of headsets. I think my son really liked it because he started using it right away, took a picture of it and then posted it on Facebook.
On my last day there we went and grabbed some lunch before he dropped me off at the airport. I never like leaving my son because I must admit, I miss having him around. As I got to my gate I had found out that my flight was 1 1/2 hours delayed and when the plane did finally get on it’s way, we sat for another 45 minutes. Apparently we had to get the plane de-iced, this flight seemed like the flight from hell but the crew members were so amazing! Yes, I’m being biased because I was flying on the airline I work for but seriously, they were a great crew!
The rest of my week had me kind of busy. My boyfriend and I went to his Dad’s house for a BBQ, which I always enjoy going to visit there. His Dad has such a beautiful home and sitting out in the backyard yard has such an amazing view, you just get caught up in majestic of it’s beauty. I was able to get caught up on household chores, errands, personal things and get my bags packed for my next three day trip today. My two overnights will be in Sacramento and Burbank but they are short over nights and long days so I plan on doing a lot of sleeping. Yeah, I’m getting old (laughing).
For the past three days I’ve been working on my life blog, “Marriages & Divorces 4:4 Part 2. I’m close to getting it finished but it’s going to be a long read… so make sure you pour yourself a cup of coffee or grab an adult beverage! I will be working a lot till mid December but I’m thankful that I will have Thanksgiving and Christmas off. Other than that, I’m just chugging through life.
I do hope that everyone has a great week ahead of them. Enjoy your family, friends and Thanksgiving… and of course the food! Also, please be mindful of the people out there that are struggling through these holidays and especially keep our men and women in the military in your prayers!
Till next Sunday….
Hugz & Kisses,
